“One of my greatest talents is recognizing talent in others and giving them the forum to shine.” Tory Burch

Let’s start at the beginning with Tory Burch herself. Burch’s childhood started in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania then later to Philadelphia. Burch described herself as an adventurous tomboy when she was young. She would wear jeans and a t-shirt for a living. Burch was not the first fashion influencer in her family but Burch’s parents “Reva and Buddy” were both up to date with their fashionable style. Burch attended University of Philadelphia for art history. After she graduated from college, Tory started her career as a fashion copywriter.
Tory Burch has had a successful career for her fashion line. Burch describes her style as 70’s bohemian, and a blend of school prep. Burch is experimenting with more solid and neutral colors for her garments for her Spring collection. Burch is emphasizing on stripes for her garments and handbags for her Spring collection of 2019.

In Tory's past collection, Tory’s fans were able to get their hands on her new handbags, wallets, sunglasses, and shoes. In Burch’s holiday collection for 2018, the color pallet is mostly reflected in the popular colors for this year and for the season. Fans could purchase her handbags in either red, white, yellow, baby blue, and baby pink. The colors focus on jewel tones and also bright festive colors of course; to fit the seasonal flair.
Burch has started to branch away from the floral patterns on the handbags and wallets since last year. Instead, Burch has been keeping her colors neutral based such as beige, black, and white. Burch still has her traditional logo and sandals for her spring collection as well. Tory is definitely going along with the simple trends for the Spring with her selections of colors and patterns in her collection.

Vogue Magazine has referenced Burch’s Resort collection for Spring 2019 and that Tory “came up with a collection of things she loves” and also incorporated pieces that influenced her parent’s style. Burch is mixing her brand up and switching around the seasonal wear for simple and boho rather than the prep goddess look. Burch got her inspiration of this collection from a favorite novel of hers ‘sThe Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2019-ready-to-wear/tory-burch
